Time is a precious gift.
Foster Grandparents help children with critical needs by providing the attention, comfort and nurturing that sets a child on the path toward a successful future.
Foster Grandparents is a unique volunteer program that provides an opportunity for adults age 55 and older to earn supplemental income and remain engaged in the community by helping children.
Foster Grandparent volunteers serve as tutors, mentors and friends to children; they help children learn and offer guidance as they:
- Serve in preschools, elementary schools, youth facilities and other locations.
- Work 1-on-1 or in small groups with children with exceptional needs.
- Share their compassion and wisdom with children throughout Northwest Vermont while earning supplemental income.
