2022 COMMUNITY IMPACT
This year, we’re investing $6,341,170 in our community.
To stretch your dollar even further, we harness the power of collaboration to invest $3.15 for every $1 given through our Community Campaign.
ALL of United Way’s work aligns with 5 Key Strategies for community improvement and collectively serve folks in every town in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties.
HOW WE DECIDE
Volunteers serving on our Community Investment Committee oversee and direct all community investments. Community Funding Grant recommendations are provided by our Program Funding Team, a committee of volunteers who live, work and play in Northwest Vermont. These volunteers review funding applications and monitor program performance. All investments, terms and conditions are approved by our Board of Directors.
In addition to our community investments, United Way of Northwest Vermont processed $300,000 in Facilitated Philanthropy* (gifts from our Community Campaign that were designated from donors to nonprofits and bypass our volunteer oversight and investment process).
